What we do

The club has been set up to create a space which will encourage amateur musicians to perform to a receptive audience. It is open to young and old, and of all abilities.

We aim to have four workshops a year offering members the chance to learn new techniques (songwriting, performing techniques), or arranging teaching / learning days. Places on these workshops will be limited and will have a small charge to cover costs.

We will take part in other Island events and these will be posted on our ‘Events’ web page when they become known. It is hoped that the club will be requested to supply musicians for these events, giving individuals the opportunity to play ‘live’ outside the confines of the club. To this end we have purchased a portable public address system with several microphones and stands. These will be available to members, if they ever feel the urge to try and play at a public venue. This equipment was funded from an ‘Awards for All’ grant.
