PICK ‘N’ MIX Members of the Live Acoustic Music Club

The Live Acoustic Music Club CD was recorded in during July and August 2000. It is called ‘Pick ‘n’ Mix’. We have tried to achieve the ‘live’ feel and as close to the natural sound you would experience at one of our club nights. It is a collection of 17 tracks performed by Isle of Wight Singer/Songwriters. All of the tracks are original, with the exception of The Unquiet Grave which is traditional, but has been re-arranged. BONES WRAPPED IN SKIN by Alan Springate

If you like soul-baring, mind-searing, bone crushing blues.... You’ll appreciate this album. Alan has a spare, minimalist guitar style and a masterly gift for metaphor. ‘I’m gonna take my jagged nerves and burst your balloon’. ‘Rich mans money gathering interest like dust... Come do your spring cleaning over us’. If you lie awake at 3am overcome with existential angst, these are your tunes. Or if you have a positive, relaxed and cheerful soul, here is you chance to goggle at how the other half survive.
